2021 Club Subscription Changes Email - 10 December 2020
To all Club Members,
I hope this finds you well, not climbing the wall too much and, of course, still turning.
It is that time of the year when we look forward to the next year and pay our membership to the Club and to the AWGB (Association of Woodturners of GB). Both are usually due by December 31st.
It is a difficult time to be asking you to pay and to be prompt. Your Committee is recommending that the Club membership fee for 2021 be suspended. Effectively we are recognising your Club membership for 2020 and extending it through 2021.
We hope to restart the Club by end of the first quarter of 2021 and initially, we may not have external demonstrators. Our fixed costs do not change during COVID restrictions and lock downs, such as Club insurance and when we restart we will be paying for the Hall rental. The evening Club meeting fee will remain at £4.00.
Your Committee highly recommends the continuation of AWGB Membership and it is a basic requirement of the Club membership to also be a member of the AWGB. The annual AWGB membership fees are:
Membership fees: Individual £ 18.00. Family £ 28.00. Junior (Under 22 on 1st Jan) Free.

We encourage you to pay the AWGB membership directly to the Club as the Club benefits from AWGB providing £1 per renewal per member if I as your Treasurer manage the administration of the renewals.
I know many of you elect to pay by cash and unfortunately that is not safe to forward to me. Please send the fees electronicaly to the following and let me know you have paid and when.
